Backyard Birds in a Gallery Show

Some cool news: My Backyard Birds cabinet is going to be in a gallery show starting in a few weeks, along with a cabinet that my dad finished around the same time.

The exhibition, which is called “Free Verse,” is a showcase of marquetry pieces by 21 different artists. The exhibition will be at the Messler Gallery at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport, Maine. The show starts on January 24 and ends on April 2.

The regional magazine Maine Home + Design just did a really nice article on the upcoming show.

I follow some of the artists in the show on social media and have seen their progress on their pieces, and I’m so excited to see them in person!
